Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited , achieved a Turnover of Rs.1842.47 Crores for the year ended 31st March, 2006 as against Turnover of Rs.1191.23 Crores in the Previous Year, registering a phenomenal growth of 55% over the Previous Year. The Company posted a gross profit of Rs. 166.09 Crores (PBIDT) as against Rs.93.45 Crores in the Previous Year. The operations resulted in a net profit of Rs.103.90 Crores as against Rs.57.27 Crores in the previous year, showing an impressive growth of 81% in the net profit.

The Company has posted a Turnover of Rs.641.00 Crores and Net Profit of Rs.34.94 Crores in 4th Quarter as against Turnover of Rs.452.26 Crores and Net Profit of Rs.23.63 Crores respectively in the corresponding Quarter of the Previous Year.

The Company has recorded a basic EPS of Rs.3.39 in the 4th quarter and Rs.12.08 for the year 2005-06 as against Rs.3.46 and Rs.9.17 reported respectively in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The order book position of the Company as on 31.03.2006 stood at Rs.5428 Crores.

The Board of Directors at their meeting held on 29.05.2006 have recommended an equity dividend of 80% (60% Previous Year) subject to the approval of Shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.

The Board of Directors have also recommended the issue of bonus shares to the members of the company, including GDR holders, who are eligible as on record date to be later fixed for this purpose, in the ratio of 1:1 i.e. ONE Equity Share of Rs.2/- each for ONE equity share of Rs.2/- held, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.

As per the Business Plan for the Financial Year 2006-07 approved by the Board at its meeting held today, the Company has targeted to achieve a turnover of Rs.3000 Crores (63% growth over the year 2005-06) .

The Board has further accorded its approval for increasing the investment limits by FIIs in the Equity Shares of the Company to 49% from the existing 24% subject to the approval of the Members at the Annual General Meeting.
