Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited [NCCL], achieved a turnover of Rs.369.69 Crores for the 2nd quarter ended 30th September, 2005 as against a turnover of Rs.242.76 crores in the corresponding period of the previous year, registering an impressive growth of 52%. The Company posted a turnover of Rs.730.30 crores for the Half Year ended 30th September, 2005 as against Rs.475.70 crores over the corresponding period of previous year. The company earned a gross profit(PBIDT) of Rs.39.37 crores in the 2nd quarter as against Rs.20.35 crores of the corresponding period of the previous year. After deducting interest of Rs.8.86 crores, depreciation of Rs.4.09 crores and making a provision for Income Tax of Rs.5.51 crores (including deferred tax), the operations resulted in a net profit of Rs.20.91 crores for the 2nd quarter as against Rs.11.41 crores in the corresponding period of the last year, thereby recording a growth of 83% in the net profit. The results for the 2nd quarter ended 30.09.2005 were taken on record by the Board at its meeting held on 29.10.2005.
The Company has recorded an EPS of Rs.2.63 for the 2nd quarter and Rs.5.04 for the half year as against Rs.1.99 and Rs.3.77 reported respectively in the corresponding period in the previous year.
In the first six months of the current year, the company has secured new orders aggregating Rs.2257 crores, enhancing the order book from Rs.3592 crores to Rs.5162 crores as on date.
