80% Jump in Turnover,100% Jump in Net Profit

Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited (NCC) achieved a turnover of Rs 652.50 Crores for the 1st quarter of the current year 2006-07 as against Rs 359.86 Crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, registering an impressive growth of 81% over the previous period. The Company has reported a Gross Profit of Rs.55.75 Crores (before Interest, Depreciation and Taxes) and a Net Profit of Rs.38.40 Crores as against Rs.28.31 Crores and Rs.19.17 Crores respectively in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, thereby showing an impressive growth of 100% in Net Profit.

The Company has posted an EPS of Rs. 3.72 (Not annualized) as against Rs. 2.41 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. In the current year, the company has secured orders aggregating Rs.1490 crores (including an international order of Rs.720 crores) and the Order Book now stands at Rs.6270 crores.
